His undergraduate studies were done at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois followed by graduate school at Dr. William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year residency in St. Louis with an emphasis on reconstructive and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle. He served as chief resident in his final year. He completed a rotating European fellowship in Germany and Portugal. Dr. Malik's clinical interests include arthritis of the foot and ankle, bunions, painful flat and high arched feet, fracture care and sports medicine.
