Dr. Merriman grew up in Steubenville, OH and graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & Pre-medicine.
During her gap year, she served as a member of AmeriCorps in Pittsburgh, PA teaching English as a second language to immigrants and refugees.
She obtained her doctorate at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, OH. She then completed her residency training in foot and ankle surgery at Heritage Valley Beaver Hospital in Beaver, PA.
Dr. Merriman is ABFAS board qualified in foot and rearfoot/ankle surgery and an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Biscuit, visiting family and friends, and traveling.
